Usually a social day is held in each term, such as a bus tour, generally of historical interest, or a get together in our of our venues with either the play readers or the creative writing group showcasing their work orally.   And at times the Play Reading Group reads a whole play in front of an audience - these have been much appreciated.

All our classes are available to everyone to join, and are not overly large – you don’t get lost in the crowd.   No one is asked to take part in any way they may not wish to.  You may be asked to do some homework for classes such as creative writing, or to read a book for the book group, but there are no exams, and no pressure to conform.

Most classes are run by members, but in some instances an outside person will be recruited to lead a course.   One member acts as class secretary.

REGULAR CLASSES

The special interest groups are very popular with their members.
each person selects their own book.   Books are lent among the group, with a record kept, but no-one is expected to do so unless they wish.
If you are interested in any of these groups, please ring and have a talk about it.
